Dining and drinking in Florida's Capital City and beyond... Find out more about Tallahassee Table
I’m Rochelle Koff, originally from Philly, lived most of my life in South Florida. Now, I’m proud to call Tallahassee — so green, so friendly, so much more sane — my home.
I’ve spent a lot of my life eating in restaurants. I critiqued them for The Miami Herald for more than 20 years and was Broward County writer/editor for Zagat’s Miami/South Florida Restaurants guides for eight years.
When I wasn’t eating, I was a reporter and editor at the Herald, the South Florida Sun Sentinel and, most recently, at the Miami Herald/Tampa Bay Times capital bureau.RKW Orleans 2015
These days, I write about food and dining for VisitTallahassee.com and freelance on a variety of subjects for Tallahassee Magazine, 850 business magazine and other publications.
And, of course, I write this blog. I want to eventually try every restaurant and experience every food trend in and around the Capital City.
Breaking bread together is one of our most social human activities, and I’m convinced that food is the key to knowing a place and its people.
Here in Tallahassee and the surrounding area, we may not have, in sheer numbers, the dining choices some other locales have, but there’s a very vibrant — and growing — food culture here, and an abundance of knowledgeable foodies.
I hope you’ll help me, and you, grow with it. I welcome your comments and suggestions.
Let’s eat.
