J.R. Alford Greenway (South end of Pedrick Road, Tallahassee)
We expect to have a lot of walkers in this event, so we are offering entry fees both with and without timing. If you want to record an official time you will receive a race bib. If you do not want to record an official time you will not receive a race bib.
Packet pick-up is scheduled for Thursday, August 29 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Hancock Whitney Bank, 2453 Mahan Drive.
We offer two separate scenic courses for this event.
The 1 Mile Fun Run/Scenic Walk will take runners and walkers from JR Alford trailhead out and back across the Lafayette Heritage Trail Canopy Bridge with scenic lake views.
The 5K trail run will make a loop through the beautiful JR Alford Greenway, starting and ending at the trailhead. This course has been accurately measured to USATF standards.
Directions: From Mahan Drive go south on Pedrick Road 2.4 miles to Greenway entrance. From Buck Lake Road go south on Pedrick Road 1.6 miles to Greenway entrance.
