The mission of the MESS Hall is to inspire curiosity, experimentation, and creative problem solving through the exploration of math, engineering, science, and stuff. The Pensacola MESS (Math, Engineering, Science & Stuff) Hall is a hands on experience for exploration. It embraces the learner’s need to “mess about” with science to gain intuition in scientific phenomena. This concept incorporates the ideals of inquiry based science, where learners' explorations are driven by their own questions, rather than the questions dictated by an authority figure.
