Odom's Bar was formed and established in 1932, it is Florida's oldest bar. Located on highway 29 north at the Florida/Alabama state line, it has been a landmark for over eighty-one years. The bar was moved from its original spot about a hundred feet to its present location. The "Old Timers" can recount those days when Century had over thirteen bars in town. It's reported that the military placed Century "off limits" to base personnel. In those days the shore patrol would put you in the brig for minor offenses.
